COMPOUND

In appearance, the drug for cats Gamavit

is a transparent red liquid. Trade name of the drug: Gamavit. Gamavit is a complex drug, the main active ingredients of which are denatured emulsified placenta (PDE) and sodium nucleinate; the drug is prepared in liquid form on the basis of a growth nutrient medium containing a balanced solution of salts, amino acids and vitamins. In appearance, the drug is a clear, red liquid.

International nonproprietary name: sodium nucleinate and acid hydrolyzate of denatured emulsified placenta. Dosage form: sterile solution for injection.

Gamavit contains as active ingredients in 1 ml:

  • sodium nucleinate - 0.02 mg
  • acid hydrolyzate of denatured emulsified placenta (PDE) - 0.50 mg
  • medium 199 - 0.1 ml
  • excipient - water for injection - up to 1 ml

RELEASE FORM

According to the instructions, Gamavit for cats is produced

packaged in 6 ml, 10 ml and 100 ml in glass bottles of appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers reinforced with aluminum caps. The bottles are placed in cardboard boxes. Each unit of packaging is supplied with instructions for use.

Other packaging is allowed, agreed upon in accordance with the established procedure. Storage of gamavit in packaging from the manufacturer, separately from feed and food, in a dry, protected place from direct sunlight and inaccessible to unauthorized persons at a temperature of 2°C to 25°C.

The shelf life of the product, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of production. It is prohibited to use Gamavit with a changed color, in the presence of foreign impurities, after the expiration date. The drug should be stored out of the reach of children. Unused drug is disposed of in accordance with legal requirements.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

According to the instructions for use, gamavit contains a complex of biologically active substances

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Gamavit for cats is used subcutaneously (s.c.), intramuscularly (i.m.), intravenously (i.v.)

, possible desoldering (p/o).

  • Prophylactic dose of Gamavit for cats: 0.1 ml/kg body weight
  • Therapeutic dose - 0.3-0.5 ml/kg
  • For the purpose of prevention: anemia, hypovitaminosis, weakened, old cats, during the recovery period after illnesses and operations, the drug is prescribed intramuscularly 1-3 times a week. The duration of the course is on average 2-4 weeks or more.
  • For therapeutic purposes: in the treatment of infectious and invasive diseases (including hemotropic mycoplasmosis), the drug is administered as part of a complex of standard therapy 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days.

At increased loads, to increase the cats' resistance to stress, the drug is administered before stress exposure once or in a course 8, 6, 4 days before and immediately before exposure to stress factors.

In case of poisoning of cats, Gamavit is administered subcutaneously, intravenously or intravenously 1 time in 3-5 times the therapeutic dose as part of a complex of standard therapy.

In case of feeding disorders, growth retardation in kittens and intoxication, Gamavit is administered once a day for 5-7 days. When deworming cats, Gamavit is used in conjunction with anthelmintic drugs. The drug is administered intramuscularly on the day of deworming and again every other day.

When treating obstetric and gynecological diseases in cats, Gamavit is used according to the instructions as part of a complex of standard therapy once a day for 5-7 days, for pathological births - once in a double therapeutic dose. To prevent early mortality in kittens, malnutrition, to increase resistance to diseases and weight gain, the drug is administered to newborns on the 1st, 3rd and 5th or 7th day of life at a dose of 0.1 ml/kg.

To increase the fertility of cats Gamavit

should be administered at a dose of 0.025-0.05 ml/kg on the day of fertilization, to facilitate childbirth and prevent postpartum complications - at the same dose 1 week before birth and during childbirth. Gamavit combines well with other pharmacological agents from this manufacturer. The combination with Fosprenil enhances the therapeutic effect.

It is better to spray the medicine into the throat in front of a mirror. Aim the nozzle of the sprayer at the back of the throat and press the dispenser. Then irrigate the palatine tonsils with the solution.

The use of the drug stimulates natural resistance, increases the bactericidal activity of blood serum, the resistance of animals to stress and excessive loads, has an immunomodulatory effect, increases the safety and weight gain of young animals. In terms of the degree of impact on the body, Gamavit is classified as a low-hazard substance (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007). In recommended doses and concentrations it has no local irritating, allergenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic or carcinogenic effects.

Components

The drug Gamavit for cats consists of:

  • extracts from the placenta, stimulating biogenic processes;
  • sodium nucleinate, which improves immunity, increases resistance to stress, and increases endurance;
  • vitamins of group E, which promote the growth of kittens;
  • folic acid;
  • glycine, arginine and alanine.

All components of the medicine are natural and cannot harm the health of the animal.

Application procedure

According to the instructions, Gamavit is prescribed to increase natural resistance, immunocorrection and reduce the consequences of intoxication in cats. A contraindication to the use of the drug is the increased individual sensitivity of animals and birds to the components of Gamavit.

The drug can be used in various ways: subcutaneously, intravenously, intramuscularly and by drinking with drinking water. According to the instructions for use in cats, cases of overdose, side effects and complications when using the drug Gamavit have not been established.

No peculiarities of action were identified during the first use of the drug and when it was discontinued. Omissions should be avoided when administering the next dose of Gamavit, as this may lead to a decrease in the therapeutic effectiveness of the drug. If you miss one dose, give it as soon as possible. Further, the interval until the next administration of the drug does not change.

When using Gamavit in accordance with these instructions, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not observed. If allergic reactions occur in cats, stop using the drug and prescribe antihistamines or other symptomatic treatment.

Tantum Verde

Antiseptic with a wide spectrum of action. The active substance is benzydamine. The drug causes analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects. Benzydamine penetrates bacteria, damages their structure and slows down growth. The drug is produced in the form of an oral spray, solution and sucking tablets. Tante Verde is used for:

  • infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity;
  • candidal stomatitis;
  • periodontal diseases;
  • mumps;
  • conditions after trauma to the jaw and face.

Antiseptic, the main component of which is nitrofural. It is made in the form of a spray and tablets for preparing a solution. It is used for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. If there are indications, then it is permissible to use it during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Indications for the use of furatsilin:

  • conjunctivitis;
  • bedsores;
  • abrasions, cuts, wounds, cracks;
  • stomatitis;
  • angina;
  • gingivitis;
  • otitis;
  • burns of any severity;
  • osteomyelitis.

This drug has a disinfectant effect. Often prescribed in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases, it promotes tissue restoration.

Instructions for the Use of Gamavit in Cats for Preventive Purposes:

  • at increased loads to increase the resistance of cats to stress (preparing animals for exhibitions, competitions, transportation) and vaccination, the drug is administered intramuscularly once before stress exposure or a course 8, 6, 4 days before and immediately before exposure to stress factors
  • to increase growth in kittens, the drug is administered subcutaneously once a day at a dose of 0.1 ml/kg body weight at the beginning of the fattening period - on the 1st, 4th and 9th days
  • to increase the safety of newborn kittens, the drug is administered intramuscularly once a day at a dose of 0.1 ml/kg body weight on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 21st days of life
  • intramuscularly for anemia, intoxication, acidosis, in the post-vaccination period, in old and weakened cats, during the recovery period after illnesses and operations at a dose of 0.1 ml/kg body weight 1-3 times a week for 2-4 weeks

Instructions for Using Gamavit for Cats for Medicinal Purposes:

for poisoning of cats, gamavit is administered intravenously or subcutaneously 2 times a day at a dose of 0.5-1.5 ml/kg.
The most effective method of administration is intravenous. for infectious and invasive diseases (including hemobartonellosis) at a dose of 0.5 ml/kg of animal body weight. Administered intramuscularly 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days as part of a complex of therapeutic agents in accordance with the instructions for their use;

during deworming together with anthelmintic drugs in accordance with the instructions for their use, Gamavit is administered intramuscularly at a single dose of 0.3 ml/kg of animal body weight on the day of deworming and again at the same dose every other day;

To increase the fertility of cats, the drug should be administered subcutaneously at a dose of 0.04 ml/kg body weight several hours before mating.

to facilitate childbirth and prevent postpartum complications (retained placenta and endometritis), the drug is administered subcutaneously at a dose of 0.05 ml/kg of animal weight 1 week before birth and during the preparatory period of childbirth;

Empty drug containers must not be used for household purposes; they must be disposed of with household waste.

According to the instructions, Gamavit is packaged in 6 ml, 10 ml and 100 ml glass bottles of appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers reinforced with aluminum caps. Bottles of the drug of 6 ml and 10 ml are packed in cardboard boxes, bottles of 100 ml are packed in individual cardboard packs. Each unit of packaging is supplied with instructions for use.

Pharmacological (biological) properties and effects of Gamavit

Combined immunomodulatory drug for cats. The components included in the drug stimulate natural resistance, increase the bactericidal activity of blood serum, the resistance of cats to stress and excessive stress, have an immunomodulatory effect, increase the safety and weight gain of young animals.

In terms of the degree of impact on the body, Gamavit is classified as a low-hazard substance. Personal prevention measures for the drug Gamavit for cats

When working with the drug, you must follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety precautions provided for when working with veterinary medicinal products. Drinking, smoking and eating are prohibited. After work, you should wash your face and hands with soap.

People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with Gamavit. If the drug accidentally gets on the skin or mucous membranes, it should be washed off immediately with running water and soap. If allergic reactions occur and/or if the drug enters the human body, you should immediately contact a medical facility (have instructions for use of the drug or label with you).

Analogs

Miramistin has analogues. It can be replaced by drugs with similar effects and indications:

  • Chlorhexidine;
  • Mestamidine;
  • Hexoral;
  • Tantum Verde;
  • Furacilin.

Chlorhexidine

Antiseptic with a wide spectrum of action. Its active ingredient is chlorhexidine bigluconate. The drug causes an antiseptic and bactericidal effect. It is used in various fields of medicine for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. Indications for the use of Chlorhexidine:

  • pharyngitis;
  • tonsillitis;
  • angina;
  • stomatitis;
  • periodontitis;
  • disinfection of removable dentures;
  • rhinitis;
  • laryngitis;
  • burns of varying severity;
  • colpitis;
  • cervical erosion;
  • risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections.

Chlorhexidine is not used during pregnancy or to treat children.

Mestamidin

Antiseptic with a wide spectrum of action. Its active components are glycol ether and octenidine. The medicine helps heal wounds and prevents the growth of pathogens. It is made in the form of a solution in vials with a spray bottle. This topical agent is indicated in the following cases:

  • stomatitis;
  • mycosis of the skin;
  • herpes; pharyngitis;
  • laryngitis;
  • tonsillitis;
  • burns;
  • skin treatment before surgery.

The medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is also prescribed to young children. The solution is used to disinfect medical instruments. The drug is made in the form of a spray. It is not suitable for insertion into the urethra and vagina. If the medicine gets into your eyes, you should immediately rinse them thoroughly with running water.

Hexoral

Antimicrobial agent. Active ingredient: hexethidine. The medicine effectively treats infections caused by gram-positive and fungal microorganisms. It is made in the form of suckable tablets, solution, spray. Used for:

  • gingivitis;
  • periodontal disease;
  • stomatitis;
  • sore throat;
  • mycoses of the oral mucosa;
  • to prevent infections after surgery.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine is used only under the supervision of a physician.

Storage conditions for the drug GAMAVIT

The drug (according to the instructions for use) should be stored in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, separate from food and feed, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, inaccessible to unauthorized persons and children at a temperature of 2°C to 25°C.

A medicinal product that has not been used after opening, has expired, has changed color (yellowing), or contains foreign impurities, is disposed of in accordance with legal requirements.
